FAQs

  • Why are some soaps out of stock?
We make our soaps in small batches and cure for a minimum of 6 weeks. At times more popular soaps may be temporarily unavailable for short periods of time while we wait for the curing proccess to complete.
  • Do you accept wholesale orders?
Yes, please email us your requirements and we will get back to you with pricing details.
  • Why are handmade soaps more expensive than factory produced soaps?
Firstly, our handmade soap is real soap - not detergent! Handmade soaps are a world away from commercial soaps. Our soaps are made in small batches using rich, natural oils and butters that nourish and moisturise the skin. We don't use any fillers - all our ingredients have a purpose and are blended to create soap that not only cleanses but cares for your skin. You'll notice glycerin on our ingredients labels. We don't add it to our soap - it is created in the soap making process. Glycerin is a precious emollient adding moisture to the skin and helping to soften it. Because of its value, glycerin is often extracted from commercial soaps and added to higher priced body care products, such as lotions. Glycerin also helps to give soap a luxurious rich lather - no need for any added Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS) so often found in commercial soap. SLS strips the skin of its natural oils and can cause dry skin and irritations. We don't use it.
  • Are your soaps 100% vegan?
Yes, they are 100% vegan. All the ingredients we use are plant-derived. No animal products are used. Our soaps are also cruelty-free. We only test them on willing friends and family.
  • Can you guarantee that your soaps are safe to use?
All our soap recipes have been tested and awarded safety certificates from an independent Cosmetic Chemist. We are really careful to only use the best quality products, known for their benifits for the skin, and we avoid harsh ingredients such as SLS. However, some people can have sensitivities and allergies to certain ingredients, in which case it is essential to check the ingredients list before making a purchase.
